The Bishop is Crossing Coming February 08

New York, NY – December 25, 2007- Real hip hop is back, but really it never left at all?
3 time U.M.A nominated, Da G.I.P. Radio Personality and Media Mogul Jayson “J-Didda” Butler has returned to the hip hop mix tape scene with vengeance to bring integrity back. This February Crezyrakk Records will present “UnAmerican Gangster” the first in a series of “Bishop is Crossing” mix tapes to be released this year. J-Didda this time has teamed up with Nu Breed Music Group (N.B.M.G.) President Anthony “Fate” Lynch (executive producer) to produce what will undoubtedly become a classic.
Famous for real lyrics witty metaphors and catchy hooks the talented rapper has appeared countless tracks, such as the smash hit collaboration with the great Dana Dane “Da Ledge” and remixes, Chris Brown's “Say goodbye”, Meryl Carter's “Killin me” and Alicia Keys “No One” to prepare the public for the event witch is about to unfold. “The Bishop is crossing” (Title set up track) sets the tone the mix tape. With the streets buzzing over “Bishop is Crossing” and “Want It All” garnering steam within underground and mainstream media it is no question this is not just a mere mix tape but a hip hop experience that only J-Didda could deliver.
His time away from the mix tape scene has proven beneficial. He has been apart of numerous endeavors within the culture. Currently he is CO-CEO of G.I.P/NBM Consulting, a artist development/marketing/ branding firm created alongside Anthony “Fate” Lynch and is also Vice President Of Operations/A&R Director for 50 Mics Inc., a promotions company which recently launched the 50 Mics Tournament Challenge . A talent competition stemming from all around the country to find the best talent, for a chance to be featured on a major label debut. For any individual a plate as so would be enough but not for J-Didda.

"I'm Tired of just sitting behind the desk pushing buttons and making money I need to make history" - J-Didda

The Bishop Is Crossing...(12/18/07) aka The Odd year is almost over pka Sorry I been away...

What's good people.. I'm sorry I haven't Blogged in months Its been a crazy crazy past couple of months so today I actually have a lil time to reflect on things..

So 2007 is almost gone and I tell you I cant wait to see it go the Odd year is finally almost over. with a lot of promise for the next even year. I have learned that Odd years have not been good years for me personally but professionally it plants the seeds for the fruitful even years I have enjoyed. So in 09 I will look upon the new odd year as just another planting season another change season.

This year has had its up and downs twist and turns but I wouldn't really change a thing.. I was at guesthouse last week and bumped into a young lady yes another "Aquarius" I cant shake them people.. but she decides to try and read me (apparently she is physic) don't laugh I do believe that some people have gifts. anyway she goes on to say that this is the happiest you have been in a longtime . I said No not really lol. then she corrected herself and said u are comfortable with your position meaning u can see the purpose to everything things are beginning to fall in to place. That I would agree with .

I have yet to recover from the "N.J. Experience" but I have been able to accept that I will never recover and that that was a necessary evil to focus me on my mission.

I have spent the last 2 and half years branding myself into an actual force in this industry with a tremendous upside. Now as I embark on my serious return to the "rap game" I find myself hungry again . poised to make a serious impact in the game.

For the first time I have real support and not just moral . I have an understanding of the business so much so that my business savvy is now over-shadowing my artistic ability. ("People forget I'm nice)

But we are living in a time when being nice doesn't matter . The game unfortunately respects one's business over there talent. When did we as a people as a country care about and make judgments about whether or not to support an artist's product based upon there business?

We love the multi-tasker

People wonder how I do it. Captain this ship I sail..

Develop a popular underground radio show, Book guests, host find and deal with sponsors, then start a consultation company map out and plan projects for other artists, promote parties (to the best of my ability lol what up ace) Book major names for these events . work a fulltime demanding job that has nothing to do with music. Now 50mics .. which I look upon as my retirement plan. Still work on material for the upcoming "The Bishop Is Crossing Vol. 1" something has to suffer..

less interviews on lyfe sux TV for me. (Sorry Jenn) cant run around as much with the camera..but we still poppin hard body that's why its good to have a great team.

I have a great team great partners great associates

so in all I say I'm blessed and 2007 The Cursed Odd year wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be it was actually a pretty good year despite some setbacks ..

PS: I know you thought I would have more important things to blog about in my first real blog back I'm working on some stuff...

The Bishop Is Crossing..aka Bah humbug is upon us..

The Bishop Is Crossing..aka Bah humbug is upon us..

RIP To Pimp C aka Chad Butler.. Man I hate this time of year... one of the most humble and good dudes I have met in the 'stry and one of the only ones I met that kept it totally 100 with me when they are still in the limelight.. a lot of "Poppin" people give you that hollywood not Pimp damn ..

This Time Of Year is the worst.. statistically more people die in december and january then any other time of year.. they say its because of the he "holiday cheer" I don’t know what it is. I just know that this time of year its hard for me to get all cherry and happy when I remember the years when I had to bury a loved one or someone I know's loved one has just passed on to the otherside trully death isn't a bad a thing but for some reason when they go young and to us had more to do its tough..

oh well.. I guess since xmas is here I still want my "Hula-hoop".. as I do every year.. haven't got it yet..its been 3 years now.. Santa is wack lol ahahha

DAME GREASE MADE SPECIAL CONSULTANT OF TALENT FOR THE 50 MICS TOURNAMENT

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

50Mics Inc. Is Proud to announce the alliance between The 50Mics Tournament and Legendary Producer Dame Grease Ceo of Vacant Lot Records. Dame Grease Will Serve as "Special Consultant Of Talent" Mr. Grease's Primary Duties will be to assist The 50Mics staff in choosing competitors as well as being Sr. Judge of The 50Mics Tournament. (Both live and online)

Dame Grease's official entry into the game began while he was working with a group of young artists that would go on to become one of the biggest dynasties in Hip Hop: the Ruff Ryders. When rap-heavyweight DMX rushed onto the scene in 1997, it was Dame Grease's aggressive production that provided the rapper with a podium to speak to the public. Before becoming a stable on every mixtape, the LOX relied on the sounds of Grease in order to acquire the street buzz that landed them their deal on Bad Boy Records in 1996. Fellow Bad Boy Mase sought out Grease's distinctive sound and gave him the opportunity to provide production on Mase's triple platinum Harlem World .

This led to Grease's work as the primary producer on DMX's classic debut It's Dark and Hell Is Hot, whereGrease helped the Ruff Ryders mold both their image and their sound into what would become one of the most well-known Hip Hop crews. During this time, Grease taught and paved the way for Swizz Beatz, another sample-free producer, to make his mark on the game. As Swizz went began to make his mark through the teaching of his mentor, Dame Grease landed a deal with Priority Records to release music through his label, Vacant Lot. Rather than accept offers to be one of Puff Daddy's legendary Hit Men or an in-house producer on Ruff Ryders, Grease chose to create his own Vacant Lot production company. By this time Grease had also put in work with Nas, Scarface, Eve, Fat Joe, and Noreaga amongst others.

In 2001, Dame Grease made the accession from producer to composer by providing the score for the Steven Segal/DMX blockbuster Exit Wounds. In addition to his work on the film, Dame Grease also reunited with DMX on the soundtrack for X's top-ten hit "Ain't No Sunshine", an updated, yet much darker remake to the Bill Withers 1972 classic of the same name. Grease continued his work as a composer in on the 2003 box-office hit Cradle 2 the Grave, starring Jet Li, DMX, Gabrielle Union, and Anthony Anderson, as well as 2004's Never Die Alone.

50Mics chose Dame Grease based on his vast years of experience shaping and molding not only viable and successful record artist but Hip Hop Icons such as DMX, Swizz Beats and the LOX to name a few. Dame Grease Impact on music goes without mention. His contribution to the underground and the up & coming recording artist and musician is unparalleled by his contemporizes .

The world has seen a resurgence of Grease's sound in 2007, with the Harlem producer securing DJ Drama's lead-off "Takin' Pictures" (featuring Young Jeezy, Rick Ross, Jim Jones, T.I., and Young Buck) and Freeway's single "Big Spender" (featuring Jay-Z). Grease also produced several tracks on Hell Rell's debut album "For The Hell Of It," which has been described by many critics as one of the most well-rounded releases by a Dipset artist. Grease has also been hard at work on his own album and recently released the single "Sour Diesel," which features N.O.R.E. and Styles P.

In 2006 Dame Grease established his successful Free Beat Competition. Dame posted one of his premier beats on myspace for aspiring artist to write and record a song to that particular beat . The winner received a demo deal with Vacant Lot Records. 10,000 people participated in this event and history was made. Dame Grease now teams up with J-Didda, Kareem Davis & 50Mics Inc. to make monumental history.

With the Addition of such a legendary, talented and well-respected iconic figure such has Dame Grease we hope to show the world that 50mics Inc. is indeed serious about achieving our objective to "Save the music" ..

THE 50 MICS TOURNAMENT CHALLENGE !!!

DATE & VENUE SET FOR ROUND 1 OF THE 50MICS TOURNAMENT CHALLEGE URBAN/RAP COMPETION

JANUARY 29TH 2008 AT SNITCH BAR CHECK THEM OUT AT WWW.SNITCHBAR.COM

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

50 Mics Inc. teams up with Kareem Davis CEO of BRL Muzik Group and Jayson “J-Didda” Butler CEO OF Crezyrakk Records to create the ultimate music challenge “The 50 Mics Tournament Challenge Artist Search”

New York, NY – The 50 Mics Tournament Challenge Artist Search, Take a second and imagine gathering 50 unsigned talents, from 5 different musical categories (Hip Hop, Rock, Reggae, Latin, and R&B), from all around the country, and have them competing tournament style, battling for a chance to be featured on a major label debut. This is the premise behind The 50 Mics Challenge.

The Brainchild of 50 Mics Inc., Jayson “J-Didda” Butler and Kareem Davis The 50 Mic Challenge supplies much needed exposure to today’s emerging underground artists. By pitting 250 talented artists and showcasing their abilities in front of the elite executives that the music industry has to offer. 10 will be chosen to create a “mash-up” album of epic proportions. Do not confuse this for a mere showcase, for this is much, much bigger. Utilizing our experience and industry connections we have created a 1 of a kind experience which includes: major touring, merchandising, and full on press. To make this even more exciting, the competition will be filmed and broadcasted on Sandbox Television and Hip Hop Uncensored Channels Monthly.

The Concept 0f 50 Mics was born as a direct response to the rampant exploitation of the underground artist. Exposure for artist has become big business. We felt that many talented artist fall between the cracks simply because they are unable to afford many of the various avenues of exposure which exist in today. 50 Mics was founded to be an inexpensive resource for unsigned talent . In many cases real creative people tend to have limited resources and therefore are unable to compete in an over saturated music business. We felt it was time to level the playing field.

50 Mics began as a simply a monthly mixtape that features 50 artist of different musical genres Monthly. Shortly after we added internet promotion utilizing our fully functional interactive and informative website 50mics.com. Each artist who is featured on the mixtape are also featured on the website.

50mics.com and The 50 Mics Mixtape series has received so much critical acclaim and positive feedback from our clients that the next logical step would be an actual venue for our artist to perform and showcase their talents. However we were very skeptical and leery about doing another run of the mill showcase .

Most showcases are designed to exploit the hopes and dreams of the aspiring rapper, singer, etc. The 50 Mics Tournament Challenge’s main goal is to find 10 artist that will travel the country and represent 50 Mics. Our objection is to pick the best talent from 5 musical genres and blend these artist together to make an album of epic proportions. 50 Mics will make history.

So in 2008 50 Mics will begin its search for our representatives. The Compilation album will be accompanied by a tour, merchandise, and top notch production. Through out the competition the progress of our competitors will be chronicled via Sandbox TV and The Hip Hop Uncensored DVD Series.

The 50 Mics Tournament Challenge Artist Search will energize and galvanize the music industry. 50 Mics is doing something that has never been done before. J-Didda says “I Promise You We Will Save The Music”

PETITION THE RIAA (GOODBYE GOLD & PLATINUM.. HELLO BRONZE)

It seems like every album is only selling like 250,000 copies we should start a petition for "Bronze records" awards so at least these artist will have something to hold their heads up high for. I mean if an artist says; "Well we spent a million dollars but we went bronze" its better then saying we flopped. 10 million is Diamond (When was the last time an artist sold 10 million?) 1 Million is platinum seems unobtainable lately.. 500,000 is Gold and people barely do that.. and then we can say if you sold like 700,000 we can say you went "Double Bronze" or "1/4 Platinum"
So Mims had the hottest record out but sold like 2,800,000 (estimated) he deserves a plaque .. so we should give him The Bronze Record..
Now People say that I am "rewarding mediocrity" but I say Hey this is America..

If we have a new distinction then maybe companies won't have to match every record and inflate sales . So I say we email. The RIAA and get that distinction.

LOG ON TO WWW.RIAA.COM AND LET EM KNOW!!!
What u think? I need a list of all the bronze artist this year

What If Brittany Spears Commits Suicide??

Now I'm here listening to Justin's Album and this song came on now I know I'm a fucked up person but when Brittany finally decides to take the "happy Jesus juice" and leaves us Maryln Monroe style.. do you think she gonna be playing this song?? hmmmmm lol Now if that does happen do you think Brittany's family would sue Justin for wrongful death like the Goldman's did O.J.?? hahaha

yea yea I know I know ...

Just Random thoughts

Welcome!!!!
