IF I CAN, WHY CAN'T YOU? The reason for me writing this blog, is because of a recent conversation that I had with a very good friend. During the conversation he kept stating how bad his luck was and "he wishes he was as blessed and rich as I was". That comment really got me upset. First and foremost, contrary to many beliefs (that includes you didda) I am NOT rich... I'm far from it (im not broke either don't get it twisted) and I have been far from blessed. Everything I have gotten I have hustled for. I admit life is very good for me at the moment but that's only because i never lost desire, I NEVER LOST FOCUS TO GET OUT OF MY PERSONAL HELL... i never lost the hunger for more. I constantly am searching for ways to better my life. If i can do it why can't you?getting rich is not something that only a few fortunate people are destined to be. there is a difference between those people and people like us. no, its not that they all had great ideas or inventions (I'm sure we all do as well) but the difference is that they decided to NOT CARE WHAT ANYONE THINKS AND GO FOR IT!I know it sounds very cliche, but thats the truth. if you WANT to be rich, you need to go out and do it. its that simple...you have an idea for a clothing line, movie script, invention etc... well what are u waiting for? stop procrastinating and do it.the worst thing that can ever happen to us in life is to fall into the "trap of society" as I like to call it and settle at some 9-5 job for the rest of your life. anybody who has made money has one thing in common, they broke away from society's standards and took their own risks. Taking risks is the key to getting money. the reason you see that 38 year old guy working in a supermarket is because he never had the desire or will power to get rich. Its not because he didn't have an amazing idea or concept - he probably did, but he was probably scared to actually bring it to fruition... Real talk we are all blessed some more then others because people have purposes on this planet . Everyone is on this earth for a reason even if its a bad example.

That 38 yearold is blessed because he isn't on welfare . He is probably a damaged person.

Not everyone is exceptional . Not everyone has exceptional talents or abilities. Some people are just There and average . And it is for the exceptional people to keep the world going , that is a blessing.

Until we realize that we are blessed won't be able to grow as a race a human race.

And our "blessings" will be taking from us.

This is for our children our Black children. Today I have to be racial about this. This day doesn't have the same significance for a Latino child or for an African immigrant even. Africa has had their presidents. This is a man who even though his father is from Kenya . His mother grew up during the civil rights struggle and took a risk to even bring this boy into existence .

This day is for all of us who are descendants of slaves. Last night Harlem if you was watching tv you would see the faces of the babies . The black kids teenagers crying and screaming . For us for my people this represents something we never had "hope" .

Jay-z said all us blacks have is sports and entertainment until we are even. If you look at our black wealth you see Oprah, Bill Cosby, Russell Simmons, Bob Johnson, most recently Sean Combs and Shawn Carter.

Now the 8 year old black boy or the 14 year old black girl can literary believe that the color of their skin doesn't limit them.

My Latino friends I am not being racist for leaving you out . but the Hispanic calls Puerto Rico home first, calls Mexico home first, calls the Dominican republic home first, and etc not saying that you don't love this country. But when a people has a since of belonging of something to look back in there history and say yea my people has a country it effects a mentality of a people differently.

African Americans came up from the ashes of slavery. From the brutality of Jim Crowe. The united states conscience and shame has always effected the way this country deal with "us" today hopefully is the step forward to finally letting go (on both sides) of the slavery and the Jim crowe years

Today is a great day for our country and my people. and most importantly the children. All children of all races. But this day truly effects us more.

Where do you stand?

Too often young adults lose their voice in the political process and dismiss their opportunity to vote, as if it doesn't matter. This debate is designed to empower and inform the often disenfranchised and disinterested youth.

This Town hall debate will consist of Representatives of both major parties and focus on 3 major topics that tend to affect the urban and working class communities more than other groups.
1) Education
2) Economics
3) Civil liberties

We will also have a few questions from the crowd. Our intention is to have an audience of Independent, Democratic and Republican leading potential voters. An event of this magnitude will assist in educating first time voters or people approaching voting age, and engaging them in the political process.

The debate will be held at the legendary Schomburg Center for Research In Black Culture and broadcasted via video conferencing with various colleges throughout Queens and Brooklyn as well as universities in Atlanta, GA. The debate will also be heard and seen on both Get It Poppin' Radio aka Da G.I.P. & L.Y.F.E S.U.X TV as well as any other major local media outlets.

We will also have a special musical performance and influential guest speakers spanning politics and entertainment.

I wonder if you watched it?? The Barack 50 comparision is very valid because Barack could have very easily been 50 cent and vice versa circumstances make you what u are. the problem with people is they do not understand what its like to be a black man in america. Its different then being any other minority i dont care what you say about we over came and blah blah .
America itself is a complicated place and the relationship between Ameirca and its black/African American population is a complicated one. Asians, Latinos, even west Indians (of African Decent) say I don’t understand blacks we can to this country and we grind and look I own a store or built a business, have property. And I came to this country and look what we have done in a short amount of time. They go on to say You African Americans have been here forever and cant do what we’ve done. Now not all people say that but lets be frank about this. Any Immigrant for the most part that came to this country came with something. Even if they “illegal” What did the Black person have after slavery? Nothing not one thing, but the skin on their backs!


The South was destroyed after the civil war the economy in the southern states in shambles but “we” survived. Blacks were giving position in the congress during the reconstruction era only because all the white representatives were considered traitors and where either dead or in Jail. And Southern whites lost the right to vote during this era. So who was left to Govern? The Blacks. Now African Americans didn’t have the right to vote in congress but atleast they could speak right as if their fellow congressman cared to listen.
This is History folks. Its not excuses.
Andrew Johnson was impeached but not convicted and thus removed from the Presidency . In order to keep the congress from gaining the “two-thirds” Majority Vote needed a deal was struck and Johnson ended “reconstruction” Pardoned nearly all confederates which gave The former confederates (Slave owners) back their governing authority. Blacks being the Minority were voted out of governing positions new laws (Jim Crowe) were in-acted that hampered blacks development as social and economic force. Whites were afraid at the accomplishments Blacks had made in a short period of time . Reconstruction was only 10 years. And in less then 2 all of that progress was un-done.
The American experience so to speak is of hypocracy The government for the most part has always been controlled by “southern White Men” Why do you think Most of our Presidents have been southern. The Southern people where the first to settle the mid-west for the most part. The west coast . Southern interests and Ideals have shaped the fundamental politics and governing practices of our nation since the civil war. There has always been this undertone of Fear of the African American especially The African American Male. Southerners own conscience has always been something they try to suppress throughout history. The Fear that one day the Blacks will rise up and take revenge for the enslavement of their ancestors is a Very real subconscious Fear that a lot of White people today have.

Politicians play on that fear to keep themselves in power. Thus they promote the most ignorant the most negative of us as an example of what it means to be black. Think about it how the hell is Flava Flav a star? Why would Chuck D. be allowed to speak his black upliftment messages but only if he allowed a “coon” to be his hype man?

Black people have to “Play Dumb to Catch Wise”. In order to get a job or keep a job in corporate America we have to soften our tone when we speak. Work twice as hard just to be on equal footing. So it’s a game of personally endurance why do you think black men die at 55,60? So a 50-cent could have easily been a Barack Obama or vice versa.

Lets say Young Curtis Jackson’s mother wasn’t a drug dealer and was an educated woman? Lets say Curtis had a grand parent that he went to live with that wasn’t living in south Jamaica queens? Exposed to “middle class values” and higher public education. We all know the school system budget is based on property taxes. So if you living in a neighborhood or state that pays more local property taxes per-capta the schools will be better.

On the flip side lets Imagine Young Barry O’s parents stayed together just a little bit longer. They moved to Harlem. It is documented that Barack Obama Sr. had a serious drinking problem and died a broken man. So lets say he was in the picture during his downward spiral. Who do you think would suffer the most being raised in that unstable environment. ?

What I’m saying People is that a “50-cent” a thug person is the same as that “Barack Obama”. So parents your 3 year old boy that is sweet and innocent can grow up to be a menance to society or the next president of the United States.

Senator Biden is too much like me he doesn’t play politics well he doesn’t compromise and has a healthy cynicism of our government. One of the Reasons I decided to endorse the “Anti-Christ” Obama. Is because Obama’s Platform Mirrors Biden’s. Readers of my blog would remember my “Fuck It Barrack Run” editorial that was posted in theindustrycosign.com and other sites. Obama is a younger Biden. So it is only fitting that he picked his mentor as his Right hand man.



I had the privilege to meet Joe once on the way down to D.C. 6 years ago I went down Business class on the Amtrak (yep folks I only ride bizz or first class) It was crowed and this older white man gets on the train around Delaware and he sits in the seat next to me . I was half sleep. But when I woke and got closer to D.C. I looked over and say hey aren’t you somebody? “He goes no I just work for the government”. Well.. I was like nah you a Senator ; you put thru the Clinton’s crime bill.. He was like.. “Yep you got me !” lol.. So I said where is your secret service? Joe Goes “I’m not important enough” . That was really it , we talked a little current events and world history pulled into Union Station shook his hand and moved on. But I followed his career ever since and did research on his history. Folks this election has the potential to un-do a lot of the demage that has been done. The powers that be will ultimately win regardless. So today marks an interesting day for EG Radio. I posted an earlier video from Jen The Pen dissing Internet Radio and several other people in the industry, and our viewers went off the roof about some of the things she said. Never the less, I think Jen knows what she is doing and we can't knock her hustle. You can check out her site here.

I wanted to address the Internet Radio vs. Satellite Radio Debate which spawned from this post, and give everyone some insight on where the state of the Digital Radio Industry as it stands today. Using Arbitron's 2008 Digital Radio Study which you can download here, you can clearly conclude the following:

- 21% of The U.S Population listen to Online Radio.
- 13% of the U.S Population Subscribe to Satellite Radio.

- Online Radio is The Biggest & Most Developed Digital Platform. There is an estimated 33 million Americans who tune into Online Radio on a weekly basis.

- Satellite Radio awareness and intent to subscribe have leveled off.

- Traditional Radio has to reinvigorate its image as a destination to discover new music. Although it still remains the number 1 way to discover new music, the study indicates that Internet Radio and Online Web sites have been the increasing trend in consumers finding new music.

It's clear that the Hip Hop Community thinks that Satellite is a larger market. However, the numbers tell you that Internet Radio is a much larger market. Hip Hop enthusiasts may have been led to believe this because Hip Hop acts endorse and promote Satellite Radio. Often giving consumers the impression that it is the place to be.

However - this is all a part of Sirius and XM Satellites strategy. They specifically brought on famous dudes like Eminem, 50 Cent and provided them a vehicle to profit share using their own Radio forum. In return, Satelite and XM gets the Hip Hop Community. Great Marketing if you ask me. Especially since they have the Hip Hop Community thinking that Satellite is a larger audience. The facts prove the opposite.

Internet radio vs. Satellite radio



This is in response to Ras Blog.



Well first things first lets be clear I love Internet Radio my show is on internet radio. The argument is fundamentally which one is better. Now Ras argument is that per capita Internet radio has more “total” listeners then Satellite radio



- 21% of The U.S. Population listens to Online Radio.
- 13% of the U.S. Population Subscribe to Satellite Radio.







On the surface these numbers look staggering.



Let’s dissect the numbers a bit. No men lie women lie and numbers don’t right? But numbers can be manipulated and interpreted many different ways if one is skilled similar to the bible or Quran or what have you.



The Internet is a medium designed to level the playing field of information access. Before the “internet” news and content was controlled by a minority of sources. Television, Radio and Print media was all controlled by a handful of companies thus independent gathering of information and its distribution to the masses was limited and very much nullified.



How does this effect music?



Radio station would receive music from the record companies, promo teams etc... Independent artist would have to go directly to the stations, program directors, deejays or host and try and get their single played directly. This still exists. Traditional radio has more of a filtering process. Songs would usually have to work its way into the Rotation cycle from the “Battle of the Beats” type segments, then to the mix shows (late night) with deejays like Red Alert, Kid Kapri, Flex, etc. When radio stations began to be acquired by big corporations the flexibility and autonomy of the Mix shows and deejays started to be less and less. Underground artist then turned to Colleges stations of “Independent”” stations such as 91.9 FM



This “Filtering” Process is both good and bad. The good it kept the game (the music business) from being too oversaturated with subpar material. The Bad however was the filtering process is subjective personal relationships are involved, payola etc. So the Internet radio comes along and Underground Hip Hop heads rejoice in the fact that anyone can start up a website and have a radio show. The playing field is leveled hooray the “Little Guy” can stomp with the “Big Dogs”



So when Ras posted those numbers of the difference in listenership I’m sure Internet radio hosts and Deejays let out a series of “WORD!” and “Hell yeas” and possiblbly some “that’s right NIggas” and “Hold Dat Didda” .



The Internet is a wonderful thing but it has a serious drawback it doesn’t allow for discourse. Unlike Most TV (not Fox lol) but generally the Organization that has a radio or television station that offers the public information has certain neutrality not the Internet. If you go to the Huffington Post you will see liberal views only. Maybe a few “token” conservative’s views. And only people who have “like” views, mindsets and dispositions will log on to websites with like ideas and values.



The same is said for internet radio. With the exception of the big 3 AOL Radio, Yahoo Launch Cast Radio, 1.FM (plug Bitches) we number 3. This internet stations are responsibly for a huge chunk of those Numbers that leads Satellite radio. LET’S BE CLEAR ON THIS POINT!! 21 percent of the United States Population is not listening to your Podcast show that you uploaded to a server just because you figured out how to use Blogtalk.com. "I’m not hating but I’m saying". (Quote from B.I.G.)



EG Radio is a wonderful community that is growing everyday and has thousands of listeners and people like myself love to listen to the shows and read the content etc. It’s how I get my news. EG Radio 1.FM Jamz are Free to log on and listen. Independent artist such as myself has a place to go to when the majors won’t listen.



But Stations like Launchcast and AOL and 1.FM Jamz operates like a Major. Big Corporate Sponsors who demand big artists and big records to attract the Millions of listeners who they can solicit for the millions of dollars they spend. That’s how radio works.



In a Survey taking last spring of 2007



XM Radio had 10.33 Million listeners Sirrus had somewhere around 4 million listeners of which Shade 45 Had 143,900 Listeners,



Sirrus Urban channels average in the 100,000 to 170,000 range of listeners. Partially because Sirrus has a base of predominantly “Talk Radio”



Channel 100 “Howard Sterns Channel” Generated 1.22 Million Listeners.



XM Radio has the Lion Share of pure music mainly because they don’t talk.



Now let’s put this in perspective. My Radio show when it is on 1.FM Jamz Gets on average 1200 to 2000 listeners a week. (with little to know funding for marketing and promotion) not bad considering we are considered a “Mixshow” and our musical content is different from the Rotation of 1.FM jamz 1.FM Jamz averages somewhere to 30,000 to 40,000 listeners weekly during its peak period of 10 to 7pm (work hours)



The Maximum amount of listeners I start with is 40,000 as apposed to Jenn the Penn (Who’s Net show Kitty Radio while on 1.FM Jamz did similar numbers) Show starts with 143,900 Listeners on Shade 45.



I can even say 1.FM the station itself which has several channels, Jamz, Gospel, (our biggest), Latin, Rock, Country, Pop gets something like 150,000 to 250,000 So technically Get It Poppin’ Radio Starts with a “Potential” of 200,000 listeners roughly . As apposed to Who Kid who starts with “Potentially” 3 to 4 Million. (Are ya'll getting the point?)



EG Radio had over a Million Downloads of its podcasts of varies shows. My show when syndicated gets to about 7 thousand each time my highest was 10,000 Thanks Ras I love you. So Da G.I.P. has gotten 40,000 or so downloads at least Thanks to EG Radio. Which happens to be Shade 45’s Potential Starting point.



We as a people tend to look at the next person that might be Head of us in certain things not necessary in other things and Hate. We Jumped on Jenn for making a statement about her achievement of going from internet radio the THIRD LARGEST Station I might add. And moving to Satellite and felt she is dissing “US”. Why did “We” Assume this? Because we are insecure about our position in reference to Satellite radio.



Internet Radio is an un-concentrated oversaturated medium. Anyone can log on to a server and say I have an internet radio show. Not anyone can have an Internet radio show with an established fan base, a foundation in which to build upon that’s something we should be proud of and striving to reach. I was tight at people for hating on her for what she does as the Gossip person. No one hates on Miss Info?? So what she said Flex is a dick rider he is you hot he rides your dick. Flex has never taking a position that would jeopardize his position and I’m not mad at him for that. I love flex he made me a lot of money at Spy. Rita G is a Hoe and she lied saying she dissed Bow wow when lil homie had it on tape and put her on blast.



We need to be real and frank with ourselves we are on internet radio cause we are not on Satellite or FM Radio. And you know what’s really funny FM Radio and Satellite Radio Stream their shows online also and that is added to the numbers for the internet stats...

What's In A Name?? J-Didda, Not Dilla, Not Diddy

Let's talk about my name "J-Didda" people think I'm biting off of Diddy or the late J. Dilla apparantly today's hip hop heads have short memory . This is my 7th year in the music business officially

Unofficially its 8 cause I wasn't serious before . My name J-Didda started as a joke because I did a party and basically there was a bunch of ladies there that I "Did" so me and dallah bill was drunk and said my name should be "Jay Did her", and "her" and "her"

So we decided on "Didda" meaning things get done when J does it . I get things done.

At the time J. Dilla was going by Jay Dee . And he really wasn't popular as he is now . Unfortunately Mr. Dilla passed away and that increased his public awareness . What big say? "You nobody to somebody kills you" . What is funny is that J. Dilla changed his name from Jay dee because he kept being confused by the other producer "J.D." Jermain Dupree

Now then there is the Puff Daddy thing ugff Mr. Combs really did me in . He is flashy, I am flashy, he is from Harlem I am from Harlem, He fucks Models .. I fuck lesser known models lol .. But seriously Puff Daddy got arrested went on trial and with a new aquittal and P.R. Campaign he changed his name to P. Diddy his nickname that B.I.G. gave him . Remember "Victory" ? "P.Diddy runs the city shows no pitty"

The Diddy thing or the Nitty is a 90's thing . You would take a persons first letter of there name and add a Diddy or Ditty or Nitty. Example Kareem would be K.Ditty sometimes its a whole name like Frank Nitty

With that being said Mr. Combs decides to drop the "P" and go by Diddy which further confuses people . When people call me "Didda" (Imagine the awkwardness when I introduced myself to Puff)

Fatherhood..

This passed Sunday was father's day the only reason why I actually knew this was because everyone kept sending me "Father's Day Well wishes" despite the fact that I am not a Breeder!! Those that know me knows my stands on bringing children into a world as dysfunctional as this one.

Such a world that rewards corruption, selfishness and instant gratification. A world with a system designed to have a certain group of people literally and figuratively stand on the backs and shoulders of another less fortunate group.

“Life is no bed of rose”. People say I'm selfish for not wanting children. I never said I didn't want them I said it is selfish to bring them into this world. A baby is born perfect pure perfection straight from heaven direct from God. You have a brand new individual ready to be molded and shaped into something as grand as the actually concept of it’s existence and "we" us adults, parents, leaders, rappers, ministers, corrupt them because the ones before us corrupted us.

With that being said in such an imperfect world two parents are needed if said child will even have a chance in this dysfunctional environment we call the planet Earth. Even then it’s a long shot. Fatherhood is lacking in our country, especially the black and Latino communities. A lot of times in black homes such as mine the "Daddy" is gone or never been there such is my case. My experience with Latino homes is many times the “Daddy” is there but such a poor of example of manhood that possibly it might have been more of an advantage to the child him not being there. This rings true in many poor black and white homes as well.

I never knew my father folks (don't even know his name) never had an inclination to seek him out. I was never bitter like some “black boys” growing up. But I could understand the damage of having that male figure not being around can cause. To me, having a father in your life that is a subpar individual is worst then not having one at all. I look at my younger brother who unfortunately knew his father. For the brief time my brother’s father was in my life I realized that he was a “substandard” individual. In hindsight I did at times enjoy the “male bonding” but I also knew at 9 I was intellectually superior. So my brother is born and his “Daddy” was gone soon after. I had at 10 years old resigned myself to the conclusion that I would have to be a father to my little brother I would have to be the tough one I couldn’t be his friend . My mother decided I guess that she made a mistake by not having my father in my life (she didn’t make a mistake by the way but my mother is damaged. I tell you people stop having children you just continuing a cycle of dysfunction!!!) So this fool comes into my brother’s life and well my brother realized that he was a “substandard” But the damages is done but I did my job and he is going to be another dangerous educated black man and this I am proud of.

I use the term “substandard individual” so I don’t have to say the word NIGGER, not NIGGA but NIGGER from the Niggroidian term describing no account people who’s very existence is a waste on the Earth’s natural resources. “substandard individuals” shouldn’t have children shouldn’t be fathers.

Much has been made over Barack Obama aka the Anti-Christ’s speech on fatherhood which I have posted above. He focuses on the black community and the 50 percent ratio of single mother’s in our communities. 50 Percent half of all these little black children running around town are fatherless in the home. Not saying that all of the 50 percent have fathers who do not take an active role in the kid’s life but I can make safe in my judgment to say most don’t.

I’m going to talk to women for a second and explain how “Men” think. If we love you the “women” and I mean truly love care for, honor etc... Then nine times out of ten we “the Man” will have an interested in that baby’s development. Will want to stick around and be a father. You have some men who simply feel obligated no matter the circumstances to be a father , these people are not in the majority. It’s not in a male’s nature the male species to stick around the nest

Humans are animals no matter what the Bible or the Quran says. We are driven by animal instincts thanks to evolution or whatever we have the ability to use reason and have emotions that guide our instincts. Not making an excuse for the deadbeat daddies of the world just stating a fact. We don’t want the woman we don’t want the child (Most times). And if you have a kid when we meet you most times we don’t want you lol.

Then you have the men who aren’t ready to be Men they truly are in love with the young lady going through the motions of a relationship and etc. But then fatherhood is thrust upon them and that’s real folks to be a Father is REAL its serious business. A lot of men can’t handle that pressure so this is why you see the women getting killed or the men simply running away.

This cycle this fear of growing up must stop in our communities I understand its 2008 and we are in a selfish period of our human existence when there is no thought or care to the outcome of those that come behind you I dig I get where we at. But its time to stop we are in a critical time in our history.

We had a topic on my radio show a few weeks ago discussing the lack of role models in the black communities, the lack of mentorship. The only ones that black boys indentify with are entertainers for the most part rappers and I’m scarred that today’s generation is being guided by today’s Hip-hop stars not saying that our Hip hop legends were angels but at least most had integrity had a story to tell other then “The world is fucked up so lets get money and fuck bitches and look out for number 1”. Our entertainers need to do better we need songs about fatherhood and family So the kids can see that hey caring for a woman and raising a family isn’t a sign of weakness it doesn’t mean that you are pussy whipped it means you are an adult .

WITH THAT SAID I’M SINGLE FOR LIFE SORRY LADIES LOL

Men we can no longer sit back run from our responsibilities (I say we meaning ya'll niggas I aint having kids) its time to be a man its time support our women. Its time to father our children. This goes for sons and daughters. Little girls need a positive example of a man as much as little boys do. We can no longer continue the cycle of Immature Men procreating with insecure and angry women. We can no longer watch as our children run wild in the streets with no goals passed Friday night. Real men stand up be a father to your children be husband to your wives. Husband means the band that holds the family together the foundation.

Until humankind Black, White, Latin, and the rest start being better people and better parents I will not be selfish enough to bring another life into this world. Until folk actually take parenting seriously enough to understand that your life is for that Child no longer is about you and your dreams and aspirations your job is cultivate a positive and contributing member of society I refuse to be responsible for thrusting another person into a society with so many damages people.

Besides it doesn’t look like we are going to improve anytime soon so there isn’t probably that may more days left for us Human’s on this planet at this rate. But I guess I still have some hope...

Monday Congressman and Former Presidential Candidate Dennis Kucinich (You know the little one with the sexy wife) Filed articles of impeachment with regards to President Bush & Vice President Cheney. This is the second time Congressman Kucinich has tried to Impeach this administration. The last time he was ridiculed and ultimately his motion for impeachment was shot down. This time however with the Democrats controlling the House of Representatives and with the former Secretary of Press Scott McClellan who recently released a book documenting how this administration use propaganda to drum up support at home for the war. Mr. McClellan will soon testify on Capital hill. Is this to little to late.

We all knew all along that Bush was lying about the weapons. no one had the guts then to oppose his actions but a few and the “Little man” Kucinich was one of the few who while in congress opposed what the president was doing and who had the “overstanding” to see the bigger picture of what’s going on . I applaud you Congressman.

Barack you should strongly consider Dennis Kucinich for your running mate in November .


Dennis Kucinich Is a Congressman from Ohio and you need someone from the middle of the Country that can help you achieve that “working class” vote. I know he is to “Liberal” , to short etc.. but to me if you want change this man should have some sort of position in your administration.

Ps: To my readers. The fact of the matter is whether or not Obama does win things are already set in motion. My hope is that the good Senator isn’t the “Anti-Christ” and can actually slow down what will ultimately be our future.

God Damn America vs. God Bless America?? (In Response to Barack Obama’s The More Perfect Union)

"To be or not to be?” That is the question." Everyone knows that famous line from the Shakespeare classic Hamlet. "To be" meaning to continue ones existence to continue ones struggle in this experiment we call life. Every human being has an innate right to exist; “to be” so the question that I pose is what happens when ones right "to be" is subjugated by another?

The news, TV, YouTube, etc. Is all a buzz about Sen. Barack Obama's (The Anti-Christ) latest speech on race in America entitled "The More Perfect Union" stemming from the snippets of his pastor Reverend Jeremiah Wright. "Anti American statements”. Rev Wright shouted from the pulpit "God Damn America" as apposed to “God Bless America”. Obama denounced Wright's sentiments simply explaining away these comments as residual remnants of years of oppression. Let's be frank Barack Obama has to walk a very thin tight rope with issue to try and explain to "White America" the roots of these sentiments.

Black people or African Americans have always been called “The conscience of America” because of the great sin of slavery and Jim Crow. Obama touched on this issue ever so slightly. Urging whites to open there minds and be more understanding of the preverbal chip on our brown shoulders.

I have many white friends I have many friends of many races. With that said I have an understanding of many different racial perspectives, however No race no minority group Jewish, Latino, Asian, Indian etc can understand what it means to be Black in America (not to mention a black man). The crime of slavery and Jim Crow was not simply the bondage of black people or labor without payment, or even lack of rights. No most damaging aspect to of black oppression was the systematic disenfranchisement of at least two generations. Two generations of the emasculation of our fathers in front of our mothers. Two generations of the rape of our sisters and mothers in front of their brothers and sons. These things continued long after slavery was abolished.

The white person would say; “Why do I have to pay for the sins of my forefathers? For something my ancestors did?” My answer is because you the white person directly benefit. Economically the white person had the ability to accumulate generational wealth something that the freed slaves were unable to do. Barack Obama touched on this point also during his speech.

However I digress I'm not here to talk race or class, but to defend Reverend Jeremiah Wright. "Goddam America" or "God bless America”? The good reverend uttered those controversial words after 911. I once said similar things many black people have shared similar reactions as well as many whites. Bill Maher even lost his ABC Show because of such “radical” statements. Such Rhetoric is not born out of hatred of America or its people but simply the understanding of the universal law of karma. “The Reaping of what you sow”; “The returns on one’s investment” so to speak. What did Martin call it "a burning house”?

The Attacks of 911 happened and unfortunately Katrina and possibly something even worse will happen because of our yes "our" (The American Government’s) disregard for innocent life abroad. I don't mean Hiroshima either. I once in my "youth" believed that the World War 2 nuclear bombing of Japan not once but twice was the United States greatest sin. However in hindsight we had no choice. More lives would have potentially been lost Japan’s resolve was too great, too entrenched. A Great man F.D.R labored over the decision to drop the atomic bomb on Japan. A man such as President Roosevelt who did so much good for poor people of all colors couldn’t habitually made the decision to kill millions of innocents. Today’s leadership doesn’t get such a pass, unfortunately Roosevelt’s predecessors (with the exception of L.B.J.) doesn’t have the greatest track record of “good will towards man kind”. Our sins; again "our" sins around the world are wars in Korea, Vietnam. Iraq; policies of neglect to countries with no financial interest to us is the gravest of injustice. Yes America's sins are policies such as "shock and aw”. The Bombing of civilian targets, hospitals, churches, schools etc., In an effort to limit American causalities. “Our” sin folks is the assumption that American lives are some how superior to the lives of other human beings on this planet. This is a policy set for by the "majority" population who are in control of this country. This infers that a white person’s life is worth more then the life of a person of color. Any person of color or of non Christian distinction is in someway inferior. Something we as black people need to get over as well, but since this is not a conversation on religious fallacy I will end here on that point.

These are the chickens that are coming home to roost people. Barack doesn't agree at least not publically with my position. However America who's wealth is founded on two generations of free labor, the near extinction of indigenous people (American Indians). An economic structure which is predatory and immoral in respect to the innocent citizens of the world; not to mention the citizens of its own country.

“America, the Beautiful”, who outsources its jobs to limit the opportunities for the next generation of potential workers and leave them with military service as the only option. (Sickens me how they prey on our poor teenagers white and black)

“America, The Great”, which creates wars with lesser countries to destroy the infrastructure of that unfortunate country then build it back up with Halliburton.

“America, The Home Of The Free” ,who allows illegal immigration for the sole purpose of suppressing wages creating a class of people who have no legal defense against mistreatment, abuse (sexually and physically) fare wages, health care etc.. Sounds familiar? (Sounds like slavery to me.)

“America, Who God Done Shed It’s Grace Upon”, who uses images of coonery and thugery as a representation of black people to the rest of the world and the middle states of America who maybe has two or 3 black families in their own town.

“America, Our Great Land Of Opportunity”, who sets all of the minority races in opposition with one another on political lines, entertainment and educational. Allowing as well as encourage, the idea for one race to believe that the source of all their troubles are caused by their brethren of a different creed.

How does one ask for god to bless such a country?

I say Goddam America!! Goddam the United States government!!

But I also say God bless her people white black, brown, red and yellow. God bless the poor soldiers who must bare our flag and carry out the atrocities of this nation at the same time defend us from the retribution of such acts. (I call this “The Soldier’s Paradox”)

So the conclusion I come to mirrors hamlet "to be or not to be" hamlet determined that he hates life but loves living and chose to "be" but ended up dead

I damn America but ask for the lord's blessing for its people in a hope that its people, It’s children especially won't suffer hamlet's fate.
